Inside Asian Gaming celebrated the launch of its new Japan business, IAG Japan, on Wednesday night with a lavish launch party at NAMIKI667 Bar & Lounge in Tokyo’s Hyatt Centric Ginza.
Held in conjunction with IAG’s Japan media partner Ohta Publications and local on-the ground team Reach Spirits, the party saw a who’s who of the Japanese IR, hotel, media and business communities come together for an exciting night of networking and celebration.
High expectations for the potential of Japanese IRs was evident, with the buzz of the crowd even forcing a delay in speeches while everyone enjoyed the fine food and beverages on offer.
Sam Ohta, CEO of Ohta Publications Co., Ltd, made the opening introductions, stating that as soon as he first met with IAG he “was convinced they would be a partner who had the ability to provide the valuable information we need as we work towards IRs in Japan.”
IAG CEO Andrew W. Scott greeted the room in Japanese before switching to English, expressing his appreciation for all of those who had worked so hard on IAG Japan’s launch.
Among those in attendance were representatives of Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Resorts and Sega Sammy, Paradise International CEO Hideyuki Arai, Scientific Games’ Ken Jolly and Adrian Halpenny, local media outlets Yukan Fuji and Sankei Shimbun and many more, including the teams from IAG Japan and Ohta Publications.
