Okada Manila enjoyed another record month in January with gross gaming revenue growing 134% year-on-year and by 52.3% compared with December GGR to Php3.84 billion (US$73.7 million).
According to figures released by Universal Entertainment – the parent company of Okada Manila operator Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc – the property enjoyed solid increases across all gaming segments with VIP table revenue up 241%, including a 111% improvement on December, to Php2.29 billion and mass table revenue rising 66.9% to Php786 million. Slot revenue grew from Php503 million to Php771 million but was slightly down on December’s Php773 million.
Adjusted segment EBITDA for the month rose 683% to Php565.9 million – another property record.
In its results announcement, Universal attributed the strong results to higher win rates in both VIP and mass table games.
“Volumes in VIP rolling, mass table drop and gaming machine handle remained strong as well,” the company said. “VIP rolling chips for the month, in particular, produced the highest rate of increase among the gaming segments that posted a record high.”
Total revenue for January was Php4.02 billion, with non-gaming revenue up 66% year-on-year but down 42.5% on December to Php176 million.
