Universal Entertainment has reported gross gaming revenue at its Philippines integrated resort, Okada Manila, of Php27.2 billion (US$527.1 million) for the 12 months to 31 December 2018.
The final annual figure comes after Okada Manila operator and Universal subsidiary Tiger Resort Leisure & Entertainment Inc (TRLEI) posted GGR of Php2.5 billion in December, down 13% month-on-month due to lower hold rates across all gaming segments. However, TRLEI said that gaming volumes were actually up in VIP rolling chip, mass table drop and gaming machine handle.
VIP rolling chip volume grew 13.3% to Php40.6 billion, mass table drop by 9% to Php1.7 billion and gaming machine handle by 17.2% to Php12.9 billion.
The company also saw record monthly visitation in December which translated to a new high in non-gaming revenue of Php299 million (US$5.7 million), up 69% on November numbers.
Universal said that all hotel rooms in Tower A of Okada Manila were open and operational through December, with an occupancy rate of 97.7%.
