MGM Macau has opened its 24th art exhibition, ART IS PLAY, which the company says aims to “inspire the fun and playful side of every visitor” over the summer.
The installation includes works from five international artists, with guests at Tuesday’s launch ceremony including Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR, Dr Alexis Tam, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Yao Jian, MGM China Co-Chairperson and Executive Director, Pansy Ho; and MGM China CEO and Executive Director, Grant Bowie.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ho said, “MGM has always been a leader in developing cultural tourism, through the integration of art and culture into our tourism offerings to enhance the tourism image of Macau. ART IS PLAY brings out the playful side of art, making it accessible to audiences of all ages meanwhile nurturing more art related talents. This exhibition leverages Macau’s rich East-meets-West heritage to build a platform to facilitate cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world, demonstrating Macau’s strength in the Greater Bay Area.”
