Macau’s Sociedade de Jogos de Macau S.A. has launched the Macau Gaming History Gallery at Hotel Lisboa, taking guests on a fascinating journey through the history of the SAR’s colorful gaming industry.
The gallery includes historical exhibits related to the gaming history of Macau including antique baccarat, blackjack, sic bo and roulette tables as well as examples of once popular local games and a variety of other items such as photos and casino chips.
It also hosts the original marble sign installed in the casino reminding customers to gamble responsibly.
Attending the opening ceremony were Angela Leong, Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer of SJM; Leong Man Ion, Deputy Director of the DICJ; Wang Jiabao, Assistant Director-General of Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macau and SJM CEO Dr Ambrose So.
The gallery is located on the 3rd floor of the Lisboa-Crystal Palace at Hotel Lisboa and will be open daily from 12.00 to 18.00. Access is free.
