The highly anticipated inaugural G2E Asia Awards have sold out on the eve of the Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. There have been 338 tickets sold across 32 tables — including a head table of 20 and two VIP tables of 14.
CEO of co-organizers Inside Asian Gaming, Andrew W Scott, said, “We’re absolutely thrilled the event has sold out, it seems we need to add capacity next year. We have no less than eight Macau legislators attending, as well as Paulo Martins Chan, Helena Fernandes and Chan Tzi Wai, the Directors of the DICJ, the MGTO and the Macau Economic Bureau respectively. There will also be numerous very senior industry figures attending.
“The final vote counting took place today (Sunday) under monitoring from Macau auditing firm EY and I can tell you it was very exciting. The red envelopes with the winners names on them are currently locked away in a safe until Tuesday night.”
Scott continued, “It has truly been a joint effort by IAG and Reed Exhibitions — IAG has taken care of the Awards process, the judges, the website, the vote counting and that sort of thing while the dinner has mainly been arranged by Reed Exhibitions, the entertainment, menu, seating arrangements, trophies and so on.”
“These awards are by the industry for the industry, and I can only see this event rising in stature next year and in the years that follow.”
