Daisy Ho, the Deputy Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings and daughter of Stanley Ho, has been elected as an Executive Director of SJM following the retirement from the board of Dr Rui Cunha.
Ms Ho’s election was confirmed at the company’s annual general meeting on Tuesday with 98% of votes in favor. Dr Cunha will remain as a director, company secretary and secretary of the general meeting of certain principal subsidiaries of SJM.
Ms Ho, 52, was an appointed representative of Shun Tak Holdings Limited – a corporate director of SJM’s controlling shareholder STDM – until 31 March 2010 after which became an appointed representative of Lanceford Company Limited. She was appointed an Executive Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited in 1994 and has been the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Shun Tak since 1999. She is also a member of the executive committee, remuneration committee and nomination committee of Shun Tak Holdings Limited and a director of a number of its subsidiaries.
Ms Ho holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in finance from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from the University of Southern California.
