MANILA, Philippines– Lotto equipment provider Pacific Online Systems Corp. reported that lotto sales in the Visayas and Mindanao regions improved by more than half last month.
In a statement posted at the website of the Philippine Stock Exchange, lotto sales of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) rose 67 percent to P859.4 million.
“With robust February sales, year-to-date PCSO lotto sales totalled P1.46 billion, a 38-percent increase over same period last year, mainly due to successful roll-out terminals and continuous support of the betting public,” said Pacific Online.
In 2008, the company posted a 48-percent rise in revenues to P740 million owing to the rollout of more lottery terminals in the Visayas and Mindanao.
The company said it had rolled out 200 lottery terminals in 2008, bringing the total to 1,600 in the Visayas and Mindanao.
