Crown Resorts Limited has announced the appointment of Aristocrat Leisure’s Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary Toni Korsanos as a Non-Executive Director.

Korsanos is one of two new appointments unveiled on Tuesday alongside Jane Halton, AO PSM – a former Secretary of the Australian Department of Finance and current Director of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited and Clayton Utz.

The gaming industry veteran has held senior executive positions with Aristocrat for more than 10 years before announcing recently that she would step down from her role in March 2018. Korsanos will join the Crown board once her existing commitments at Aristocrat cease and upon the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.

Halton’s previous roles include Secretary of the Australian Department of Health, Secretary for the Department of Health and Ageing and Executive Coordinator (Deputy Secretary) of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. She will join the board of Crown immediately.

Speaking of the appointments, Crown Resorts Executive Chairman John Alexander said, “We are delighted that both Jane and Toni have agreed to join the Crown Board. The addition of Jane and Toni will enhance the expertize and diversity of the Crown Board.

“Jane will bring extensive experience in finance, risk management, information technology, human resources and public policy. Toni has extensive experience in the gaming industry and will also bring experience in the areas of technology, finance, strategy, risk management and financial and regulatory compliance.”
