With the acquisition of Atronic, GTECH will become one of the top five suppliers to the worldwide machine gaming market. The addition of Atronic to GTECH’s Gaming Solutions division, which includes Spielo, a leader in the government- sponsored gaming market, creates an organisation of considerable scale that will have the content, products, and services to successfully compete in commercial gamingandgovernment-sponsoredmarket sectors. From Lottomatica’s perspective, the decision to acquire all of Atronic has been a clear indication of their commitment to support and invest in GTECH’s strategic- growth plan. For strategic reasons, is it going to become more important for companies to achieve a certain size in order to maximise their competitiveness in the world market? As the gaming industry thrives on technical innovation, the support of a large business operation becomes a must for a company to be able to compete with the main players in the global marketplace. There are also very interesting and profitable niches yet to be explored which would not necessarily justify specific development but could be supported by the vast portfolio of GTECH solutions. Please sum up what Atronic’s goals are in the Asian market over the coming 12 months. The emerging Asian market is a key factor in our global business strategy. Our goal is to further increase the presence of Atronic and our products within Asia by focusing on the specific needs and requirements of this market. We have developed solutions and tailored services to suit the particular needs of our Asian customers and players. Furthermore, we have significantly stepped up our research activities to better understand Asian culture and Asian player needs. Please explain what you hope to achieve at G2E Asia 2008. G2E Asia 2008 will see Atronic unveil a wide range of new products targeted specifically at the Asian market. For the first time in Macau, Atronic will be exhibiting at our own booth, unlike previous years where we shared a booth with Asian distributor RGB. Atronic´s presentation at the show will underline our strong commitment to the Asian gamingmarket and our determination to be successful in this market by supporting our customers to offer the right product mix to their players.
