Shares in Global Approach were suspended from trading on the ASX on 22nd May because of the announcement. Sona Mobile Holdings , a provider of secure software systems for server-based gaming and entertainment, fell back 66.3% for the month. Sona is the software provider behind the development of Shuffle Master Inc ’s popular Vegas Star Wireless™ platform. Sona had good news in the first quarter after the New York State authorities gave a 25-year extension on a horse racing licence issued to one of Sona’s business partners. The state’s decision means Sona can continue to develop a new mobile wagering application under the three-year, exclusive deal it signed in October 2007. Sona Mobile Inc Chief Executive Officer Shawn Kreloff will be speaking at the G2E Asia 2008 seminar Beyond Baccarat: What Other Games Work in Asian Casinos? on 4th June. AGTech Holdings , the Hong Kong-listed provider of lottery services mentioned in our China Lottery story, performed solidly in May, adding 17.26% to its value and reaching number eight on the AGI list. It followed reports in mid-May that AGTech will pay HK$777.7 million to buy Shining China , a private firm that has consulting contracts with local branches of the state-run China Sports Lottery.
