The eyes of the gaming world turn to the UK once again this month for the world’s biggest annual gaming industry trade show, ICE London.
Almost 650 exhibitors, including 73 first time exhibitors, will showcase the very latest in both the land-based and online gaming worlds when ICE London returns to ExCeL from 4 to 6 February 2020.
Now in its eighth year since relocating from its previous Earls Court home to the grand expanses of ExCeL in 2013, ICE London has continued to break records ever since with last year’s edition surpassing 600 exhibitors for the first time, covering 47,500 square meters of exhibition space and welcoming 36,093 visitors – up from 430 exhibitors, 22,500 square meters and 21,336 visitors in 2012.
While final numbers for 2020 are yet to be confirmed, the number of exhibitors is expected to once again comfortably exceed all previous years with a massive total floor space of 49,500 square meters, 633 exhibitors from 65 nations and 40 of ExCeL’s 44 halls being utilized.
“ICE London is experiencing the most successful period in its history,” said Dan Stone, Head of Marketing for ICE London organizer Clarion Events.
“Despite the continued programme of mergers and acquisitions taking place in the industry, ICE continues to grow both in terms of the net floor space it occupies and the number of exhibiting companies which choose London as the place to launch products and services to an international audience.
“As well as existing exhibitors taking additional space, we are delighted to welcome those companies who will be attending ICE London for the first time. It’s an important part of what keeps ICE London fresh and exciting and we know the ability to meet with potential new suppliers resonates with our international visitor base.”
Another key ingredient to ICE London’s ongoing success is ICE VOX – the two-day conference providing insights into the latest trends and developments from across the gaming spectrum.
This year’s ICE VOX will include a particular focus on diversity, with Clarion’s Sadie Walters noting that the goal in 2020 is “to reflect the position of women in power and ensure this is part of the conversation. Crucially however, this isn’t simply about representation, it’s about ensuring the make-up of our panels is reflective of the industry as a whole and ideas and insights on display across the agenda come from a variety of voices dedicated to helping shape and drive the industry forward into the future.”
Among the voices representing Asia at this year’s ICE VOX will be PAGCOR Chair and CEO Andrea Domingo; Melco Resorts Head of Regulatory Compliance Isobel John; Melco Resorts COO of International Andy Choy; Scientific Games Vice President and Managing Director for Asia, Ken Jolly; Global Market Advisors’ Brendan Bussmann and Steve Gallaway; Ayako Nakayama from the Japan IR Association; and MGM China’s John Shigley.
Inside Asian Gaming will once again have a team present at ICE, so be sure to track us down at Booth ND9-C.
