In the wake of IAG undergoing a change of parent company last year, we’ve been taking a closer look at the internal workings of the Asian Gaming 50 and we are determined to give this annual list – published each September – even greater credibility and prestige.

Our goal is to ensure this list is a truly accurate reflection of the current who’s who in Asian gaming. With that in mind, we are developing a transparent process as to who gets in, who misses out and how the final 50 positions are arrived upon.

To acknowledge the new and improved methodology, what was previously known as the Asian Gaming 50 will be relaunched as the Asian Gaming Power 50.

Over the coming months, IAG will assemble an elite panel of objective, non-conflicted experts representing a wide range of gaming industry sectors. These will include regulators, lawyers, analysts, media commentators, consultants and executives from both operators and suppliers.

Our selection panel will debate the merits of each candidate and apply scientific methodology to help shape our new-look Asian Gaming Power 50.

Among other considerations, factors to be taken into account will include the candidate’s position within their company and that company’s size, annual turnover and growth. We’ll also consider how active each candidate has been in the industry over the past 12 months.

As always, any comments or feedback on the application of this new process – as well as suggestions for candidates – are welcome. The cutoff date for feedback from readers is 31 July 2016.

We are determined to ensure that the Asian Gaming Power 50 cements its standing as the definitive power list for the Asian gaming industry.
