The Widus Group has unveiled a new luxury lifestyle brand, Hann Resorts, aimed at bringing together its two resort developments in Clark under a single integrated resort umbrella.
Hann Resorts, described as the “ultimate luxury playground for gamers and golfers,” will see Widus Hotel & Casino rebranded as Hann Casino Resort when its current expansion is completed in late 2020. The Hann Casino Resort will incorporate the already operational Clark Marriott Hotel plus new addition Swissôtel.
Meanwhile, a recently announced US$238 million development on 450 hectares in nearby New Clark City will be called Hann Lux Lifestyle Resort, offering three 18-hole championship golf courses.
As previously reported by Inside Asian Gaming, Phase 1 of the New Clark City development, expected to be finished by 2025 at a cost of US$100 million, will include the Angsana Hotel, Banyan Tree Hotel, an 18-hole championship golf course and a clubhouse. Phase 2 will include the development of Westin and Luxury Collection by Marriott, two 18-hole championship golf courses, outdoor recreation facilities, premium villas and residences, a mixed-use commercial center and a 10-hectare public park at a cost of US$138 million.
Widus also provided details of its golf course designs at Hann Lux Lifestyle Resort, revealing the first will be designed by Nicklaus Design and the second by South Korean professional golfer KJ Choi. The third will be the Sir Nick Faldo Signature Golf Course, designed and named after six-time major winner Nick Faldo.
“Our vision is to raise the concept of play into a lifestyle that people would want to discover through world-class experiences,” said Daesik Han, President and CEO of Hann Development Corporation, a member of the Widus Consortium.
“Clark is already drawing a lot of tourists and investors to the area. We hope that an integrated lifestyle and leisure resort brand will further attract people and turn both Clark and New Clark City into a bustling center for recreation and development.”
